    Starting soon: The History Hub

The Cranborne History Hub is for anyone interested in local history or genealogy. It’s a chance for history buffs to share information, expertise and ideas, and get some help when you hit a brick wall. Also, the extraordinary Cranborne archive will be open for anyone interested.

The first session is on Monday 14th July at 7.30pm, and the second on Monday 28th July at 2.30pm. We’ll be alternating evenings and afternoons so there should be a time to suit you.

Come along to the village hall for what should be a great collaborative group. It’s only £3 a session but your first one is free. More info from dl@cranbornevillagehall.org.uk

What a great way to celebrate!

We were delighted to welcome so many people to our re-opening party on Friday. We had a great turnout across the course of the evening and a good time was had by all.

We stopped proceedings at one point to raise a glass to the Hall and to Cranborne, and to thank everyone who has helped to bring the Hall back to life over the last three months.

Now it’s all systems go with lots of regular activities and special events.

After 18 months with the Hall closed, we were so happy to welcome our first event yesterday: a great children’s birthday party complete with bouncy castle.

And our regular groups are starting up over the next week or two: yoga, pilates, badminton, Local History…and coming soon, the Cranborne Craft Cafe.

What’s coming up at the Hall

Remember: it’s the Cranborne Duck Race on Saturday 26th April. This is always a brilliant community event and it’s a really important fundraiser for our First School, so please show your support.

The Village Hall will be open with lots of stalls and refreshments. And it’ll be a chance for you to find out what’s happening as we re-open.

We’ll have lots of information about our regular activities, including badminton, yoga, pilates, Cranborne Local History Society and the Cranborne Craft Café (more news to come!). And we’ll have details on events coming up including our re-opening party on Friday May 9th.

And if you have any ideas for ‘Clubs for Cranborne’, then get in touch or come and see us on the 26th.

    Hope to see you there.
